A reader reported yesterday around 6:15pm: “Employees very kindly asked all customers to pay immediately because the store had to close due to an emergency in the back. While standing in line I noticed
the air ducts smoking and smelled a toxic smell, like burning plastic. Hope everything is ok! That store is the best!”
DC Fire and EMS reported: “Units operating on a Box Alarm for smoke reported in a commercial building. Appears to be related to an HVAC unit.”
