I was in the Trader Joe’s on Wisconsin Ave (Tuesday around 1pm) when I kept running into a guy in the store. He was bald with a beard and was wearing a quarters zip blue sweatshirt. We ended up at the checkout line together and he proceeded to try and grab a chocolate bar and ended up knocking over a few and we shared a laugh. If he is single (and interested) I’d love to meet up for a drink.”

I figured I’d give this a shot. At Trouble Bird in Navy Yard around 10pm on Wednesday 3/01, I almost bumped into him while trying to get around him. He looked like he’d come over from Albi to met up with his friends and was standing by their booth. We kept stealing glances at each other and made eye contact again after he’d sat down. I was the tall brunette in the purple pea coat standing by the door. He was the cute, dark-haired guy with facial scruff who sat at the end of the front booth. My friend and I were leaving; otherwise I would’ve come over and said hello!”

Before and after his friend got off the train at Columbia Heights, we exchanged a few glances. We both got off the train at Georgia Ave around 7:15 or 7:20, I went up one escalator, and he went up the other.

“Missed Connection: We were both at the WeWork Navy Yard on Wednesday, March 1st on the first floor. I was in one of the booths next to the window. You were taking a video call at one of the small tables adjacent. We kept making eye contact, especially when either of us got up to grab a drink. I got the feeling there was some connection. Anyways, I thought you were super cute, and was hoping to use a cheesy pick-up line like, “hey, do you mind watching my bag for a minute” to break the ice, but didn’t run into you again that day.
