“Dear PoPville,

I was with my housemate grabbing a slice of pie from the CakeRoom to celebrate Pi Day and we were joined in line by a girl who was chatting with us while we were all scoping out the selection of pies.

When: March 14th (Pi Day) @ around 7:30pm
Where: The CakeRoom Bakery in Adams Morgan

You: Presumed dessert lover and inquisitive pie day celebrator, seeking a slice of pie to celebrate the little things (like pi day). Short-ish brown hair, cute smile, wearing black pants and a black coat.

Me: Serious berry pie fan (although I got the apple in case you wanted the last slice of berry). Reddish hair and beard, yellow hat and blue jacket.

I got a bit shy and said “enjoy the pie!” on my way out the door. If you’re single and up for a first date I would love to meet up over coffee and dessert sometime.

Cheers!”

and

Roosevelt Island bird photographer, Thursday afternoon. We chatted for a minute but I was caught off guard and was hoping to see you again so we could talk more. You had a nice camo lens!”

Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
