“Dear PoPville,
I was picking my friend up at her apartment off of U Street on Sunday (3/26) and I pulled into the alley next to her building so I wasn’t waiting and blocking traffic on the street. As I was bopping along and singing out loud to Maggie Rogers while scrolling on my phone,
I looked up to see a very kind man in an SUV trying to get my attention. I immediately starting mouthing “Sorry!” as he laughed and waved at me. I backed up, picked up my friend, and once again waved to the stranger as I drove away.
Maybe not much there, but wanted to say thank you in person for being so kind and maybe buy you a drink if you’re single!”
