“Spring is almost here, which makes it the perfect time to add to your urban garden or beloved houseplant collection with a pothos or Madagascar jewel. Join plant community Plant Karma on Feb. 26 at Public Bar as DC’s plant parents sip cocktails and show off exotic plants and accessories, trade plants and tips on plant care, and maybe even take home a unique cutting of their own.
Four people will have a chance to win rare plants or a $100 certificate in raffles raising money for Sanctuary DMV — a group dedicated to protecting immigrants, including refugees currently being bussed to the District from Texas and elsewhere.
Feb. 26 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Public Bar, 1214 18th St. NW. Admission is free; raffle tickets are $1 apiece or $4 for entry in all four raffles. Vendors will accept cash and Venmo.”
