Today’s Rental was chosen for the tulips on that table and the exposed brick, obviously

This rental is located at Seaton Place NW near 2nd Street NW. The Craigslist ad says:

“$3,300 / 2br – 1000ft2 – Beautiful row house in the heart of Bloomingdale (Bloomingdale)

This beautiful two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath row house on a quiet, tree-lined street in the historic Bloomingdale district of Washington, DC is a wonderful base for exploring the city. The house is two blocks from Big Bear Café, half-a-block from Red Hen restaurant, and around the corner from Boundary Stone bar.

The first floor features an open floor plan with tall ceilings, recess lighting, an exposed brick wall, and a bay window. The kitchen, with sleek, white cabinets and espresso-brown granite countertops, takes up the back of the first floor.

A counter with four bar stools divides the kitchen from the living room, which takes up the front part of the first floor. Under the stairs leading up to the second floor there is a recently completed half-bath with a mosaic glass floor.

The second floor has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Both bathrooms have bathtubs, contemporary vanities and light fixtures, and travertine stone tile floors. The master bedroom features a bay window with wooden shutters for privacy, a small TV, and direct access to the master bathroom.

The house is a short walk (0.5 miles) from Shaw metro station on the green and yellow line. There is a Capital Bikeshare station half a block away, and bus stops for direct buses to Dupont Circle, Georgetown and Adams Morgan are just steps from the house. There is free street parking (one side of the street is open to all cars and the other side of the street is zoned for residents).

Within a block, there are restaurants and bars, a yoga studio, dry cleaners, corner shops, and a weekend farmers’ market (from May to November). The house is within walking distance of the many shops and restaurants on U Street, less than a mile from downtown attractions such as Chinatown/Verizon Center and the Washington Convention Center, and less than two miles from the U.S. Capitol, the White House, and the National Mall.

The house is available on January 15 for long-term rental. The $3300 monthly rent includes water and an alarm system (electricity is separate). Appliances include a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer. The house is unfurnished.

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
