“Dear PoPville,

“We were in the Air France Lounge in Paris and made eye contact a few times. On my way out, I came up to say hi. We had a short awkward exchange and realized coincidentally that we were both waiting for the Air France flight to Washington Dulles and that we both lived in DC. I had hoped we will have a chance to chat a bit more. I saw you briefly from afar at Dulles but could not get closer.”

If you felt a connection or any interest at all let’s meet up!”

“Dear PoPville,

Thursday at Sonoma wine bar for a state society holiday party.

You were wearing a tan/ sweater, I was wearing a white button down and blue blazer and my friend was wearing a pink top. We made eye contact a few times throughout the night but were always wrapped up in conversations at the wrong time. As we were heading out, you waved and said bye. Tragically the Uber was there or we would have loved to stick around and introduce ourselves!”

“Dear PoPville,

The evening (Thursday) of December 8th, at approximately 10 – 10:40 PM. We brought our girls night to Chicken and Whiskey (back bar). The table behind us had a lovely older gentleman doing magic – my low key obsession. So I (politely) interrupted requesting a trick. You were learning and maybe disappointed in my interruption. A few amazing magic tricks later (Amanda was the name I gave for the trick) and you guys rolled out – we could have sworn a wink was thrown over the shoulder – but alas no number was exchanged. Maybe a second chance at magic?”

“Dear PoPville,

I was walking out of the Whole Foods on Florida Ave. NW (Wednesday) around 8PM and she was walking in when I noticed her beautiful smile and vibrant energy. I wanted to compliment her on it and chat for a bit but I didn’t want to interrupt her grocery shopping so I just smiled at her and said hello and went on my way.

She had brown hair and was wearing glasses along with a F45 shirt. If she sees this I’d love to take her out for a drink or a coffee sometime.”

Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made. This week’s Dupont MC was connected!

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
