Well-Paid Maids Senior Cleaner Sayem Noor: “Now I Can Spend More Time With My Family”

Sayem Noor, who emigrated from Bangladesh 17 years ago, worked two restaurant jobs before joining Well-Paid Maids.

The hours were demanding — from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. six days a week. Even so, he struggled to support his family because the pay was so low.

In April 2018, Sayem was searching for a job that would pay him well and allow him to take two days off a week. He came across a job listing for Well-Paid Maids. After a trial clean, he was hired.

Sayem has since been promoted to senior cleaner, and he works Sunday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Now I can spend more time with my family,” he says.

Plus, he earns a living wage of $22 an hour (plus tips) and gets lots of good benefits, like flexible hours; health, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more. Well-Paid Maids even paid $499 for Sayem to go to driving school so he could learn how to drive.

“My experience with the company has been phenomenal,” he says. “I have an awesome boss, Aaron, and awesome managers, Aubrey, Dasha and Lexi, who always help me with any issue I have at work.”

You can support a company that takes care of employees and come home to a spotless space. Book your cleaning with Well-Paid Maids today.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
