Something for Everyone at Open Streets Georgia Avenue

On Saturday, October 1, Open Streets will return to Georgia Avenue NW!

During the event, the District will close three miles of Georgia Avenue, between Barry Place NW and Missouri Avenue, to cars. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the corridor will be open to walk, bike, run, and scooter through — no cars, just people.

Check out some programming highlights below. There is something for everyone to enjoy!

  • Learn to skate or show us your moves at the Irving St NW and Crittendon St NW intersections with Skate Instruction and Rollaway Productions
  • Splash in foam at the Kansas Ave NW intersection with Foambaree
  • Work up a sweat during tandem bike demos, workouts, yoga classes, and more at the Kenyon St NW intersection
  • Paint the streets with pride with Chalk Riot at the Arkansas Ave NW intersection
  • Jam with Aladdin da Prince, Kingpin Slim, and more at the Main Stage on New Hampshire Ave NW
  • And more!
