The playground in Bruce Monroe Community Park has some pretty serious fire damage and it’s no longer usable. There’s a sign on the playground from DPR stating it’s “Closed until further notice”.
Before it was damaged there were always kids playing there. It’s so sad watching kids walk up and ask where the slide is, when will it be fixed, etc. I know it’s a small thing but I’m hoping maybe you can bring some attention to it? I reached out to DGS who maintains it and if it’s a matter of funding maybe a Go Fund Me could help (I’m waiting to hear back).”
