  • 2010 Plymouth Street NW — $1,400,000 — Colonial Village
    Open Sat. & Sun. 1-3 p.m. — Kerri Murphy
“Located in the idyllic and timelessly venerated neighborhood of Colonial Village, 2010 Plymouth Street, NW is on a quiet, treelined street shared with just a handful of other homes. This incredible five bedroom, four and a half bath home is hidden away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the city, but is still centrally located just minutes from all of the city amenities an urban dweller could desire. From the perfectly manicured front lawn with curved, herringbone brick front sidewalk, to the picture-perfect center hall colonial, this home oozes curb appeal. The interior is no different, offering grand and airy living spaces and the perfect blend of both informal and formal living spaces — a welcoming foyer opens to the large living room, which is anchored by a cozy wood-burning fireplace with decorative mantel. Just off of the living room is the screened in porch, also providing access to the backyard. The formal dining room offers a built-in china cabinet. The living spaces are grand and airy, with high ceilings, crown molding, and gleaming with natural light. The updated kitchen is a chef’s delight, with plentiful cabinetry and counter space, a full butler’s pantry, and an eat-in peninsula for expanded prep space or informal dining. The kitchen is open to a wood trimmed family room with high ceilings, wood-burning stove, decorative mantel, and built-in bookcases.”
