Therapists With Openings: Peaceful Mind Solutions Is Accepting New Clients

Help is here. Finally, there’s a therapist who has time for you. Fifteen minutes could change your life.

Those who have had difficulty finding a therapist are understandably frustrated.

It’s been difficult to find mental health counseling for years, but the coronavirus pandemic, not to mention other stressing factors, only added to the number of people who are seeking help in resolving stress, turmoil, grief and other challenges. Therapists are in demand and booked up.

But there is good news for those who are going through life transitions, struggling to cope with feelings of stress, or are looking to make a crucial change: Lauren K. Nickum, LCSW, CSAC from Peaceful Mind Solutions is now taking new clients for telemedicine psychotherapy.

“We want to let people know we have openings for people seeking help,” she says. She also points out that sessions take place via telemedicine — from the comfort of the client’s home. It’s a method of therapy that has proven successful time and again.

Lauren is actively setting up free 15-minute initial consultations via the Peaceful Mind Solutions website, by emailing [email protected], or by calling 703-994-0300.

Peaceful Mind Solutions provides adult and adolescent psychotherapy to help make changes to live the life that clients desire. Peaceful Mind Solutions makes it easy to log-in from the convenience and comfort of your own computer or phone and meet with an experienced psychotherapist for individual or group counseling.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
