DC Open House List for This Weekend

We’re seeing a slight dip in the open house count in the District this weekend with only ~230. Whether that means inventory is dwindling or it’s just a slower weekend, there are still plenty of great options if you are looking for your first or next home. Take a look at our favorite open houses below and to see the full Open House List, click here.

  • 718 13th Street NE — $949,900 — H Street Corridor
    Open Sat. 2-4 & Sun. 1-3 p.m. — Kevin Wood
“Head-turning facade greets you in this awesome house just off H Street. With four full finished levels, this townhouse offers plenty of space to spread out. The main level has a sitting room, and large dining room adjacent to the kitchen. A door from the kitchen leads out to the brick patio, which feels cozy and private and is perfect for grilling. Each of the top two levels of the house has a full bathroom and two bedrooms. Just off one of the bedrooms is the house’s second big outdoor space, a deck with a motorized awning for shade. The basement level of the house has a large living area, along with a secondary space that would be great as an office, exercise space, playroom, bar, or whatever else you can imagine. There is a 1/2 bath on the lower level as well. 718 13th is steps away from tons of cool restaurants and bars, and a Whole Foods and Giant are just down the street. Centrally located, the house is steps from the streetcar and multiple bus lines, as well as the Red Line Metro at Union Station. Bike to the National Arboretum, just down Bladensburg Road.”
  • 709 Newton Place NW — $729,000 — Petworth

A walk inside and you’ll find a perfectly-placed built-in with many more options than your standard closet. “This well-imagined, two-level unit features three large bedrooms with a full bath on each level giving it enough space to make some single-family homes jealous. What really excited the current owners about this space is the dual living areas (one on each level), and the option to use the lower area as a play area, office, or general flex place.”
