Walking with Long Walks DC – DAR Museum

This month Sara from Long Walks DC writes:

“While walking along the National Mall and wanting to escape the heat, I decided to peek into the Daughter’s of the American Revolution headquarters and it was a such beautiful and unique place to visit. The building itself is gorgeous with grand halls and intricate details.

They have a picturesque library, 3 decorative arts galleries, and 31 “period rooms” which are decorated and furnished to represent various states (including DC) during different time periods from the 1690’s through the 1930’s. My kid especially liked the children’s room and dollhouses throughout the building.

Best of all, it is free and not crowded! They are open M-F 8:30-4:00 and Saturday 9:00-5:00. It is located on 17th St NW with the main entrance on D St NW and the handicap or stroller entrance on C St NW.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
