Do Not Disturb: Well-Paid Maids’ Industry-Leading Vacation Policy

Well-Paid Maids Operations Manager Ogi on her recent vacation in Miami

Well-Paid Maids goes on vacation!

OK, well not all of us at once — we’re still available to professionally clean your home. But we have a healthy, industry-leading vacation policy. Take a look:

  • 20 paid days off per year
  • 2 paid holidays

If you lost count, that’s more than a month of paid time off per year. In the coming months, we have a number of employees taking well-deserved time away from work.

  • One is taking an entire month off for Ramadan so he can focus on his faith and his family.
  • Another employee is taking a week-long anniversary trip to Las Vegas with her partner. This will be her first time on a plane, so we’re sending calming vibes her way.
  • Finally, we have an employee planning her destination wedding in the Dominican Republic. We can’t wait to see photos!

So what does all this vacation time mean for you? Our cleaners are well rested and ready to leave your home spotless. Time off also hedges against unnecessary, preventable workplace injuries, which plague our industry.

Plus, in addition to PTO, we offer a starting wage of $20 an hour; health, dental, vision and life insurance; 100% employer-paid commuting costs; and more.

Hey, everyone deserves a little break — including you. Go ahead and book your professional home cleaning online.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
