“Dear PoPville,

Last night around 8pm there was an accident involving a vehicle and pedestrian at the intersection of 18th and Florida Ave NW. I can’t find any information other than the initial tweet from DC, but something tells me extended presence and black tent isn’t a good sign.”

Ed. Note: This is near the terrible crash into Keren Restaurant back in 2010. a pedestrian, Julia Bachleitner, was killed.

DC Traffic Police reported at 8:15pm: “FYI: Crash Investigation (Pedestrian struck) at 18th St & Florida Ave NW

Mike reported: “Any idea what was going on at 18th and Florida NW tonight? Many police cars, a maroon SUV stopped in the intersection, blocks cordoned off, and what sadly might have been someone on the ground.”

Ryan Sprouse reported: “DCPoliceDept confirm an adult male was struck and was pronounced dead on scene. Still no lookout for the driver, car that fled the scene.”

Not yet confirmed but Kristine replied: “They stole his car, he was then killed. A lovely young man.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
