“Dear PoPville,
My name is David Morar and besides other things, I’m a comedian in DC. I’m also Romanian, so the Russian invasion of Ukraine is quite literally pretty close to home. With another comedian originally from the Balkans (Ivi Demi from Albania), we put together a comedy show to benefit Ukrainians, next Thursday at the Ukrainian-owned bakery D Light in Adams Morgan.
The proceeds from the show (ticket sales, cocktails and snacks) will go to helping Ukrainians, through whatever way the owners of the bakery think will make the most sense!
The comedians on the show are either immigrants or first generation, and are all hilarious, DC-based stand ups with lots of headlining experience.
