From a press release:

“With the kickoff of a new year, hiring for Wegmans Food Markets’ two metro D.C. stores is underway. Opening in the spring and summer, Wegmans is looking for more than 600 employees to join their Carlyle-Alexandria and Wisconsin Ave. teams.

Located in Northwest Washington, D.C. at City Ridge, hiring for more than 300 part-time positions at the 84,000 sq. ft. Wisconsin Ave. store is set to begin this week. Opening in the summer, part-time customer service roles are available throughout the store in culinary, merchandising, service, and perishable departments.

Hiring for full-time positions began in October, and select openings remain for entry-level management positions including bakery and culinary leadership roles. Applicants are encouraged to apply online here or call 202-449-1511 for more information.

“We’re looking for friendly people who share our passion for food and are eager to learn and grow with us,” said Wisconsin Ave. Store Manager Kevin Russell. “We hire employees who demonstrate our company values, including respect, empowerment, and high standards. If the candidate has the right attitude, we can teach them all the other skills needed to be successful.”

Carlyle-Alexandria

Opening this spring, Store Manager Mike Anthony and his team are preparing to hire nearly 300 part-time positions for the 81,300 sq. ft. store located at 150 Stovall St. in Alexandria. These openings span a variety of positions across every department in the store, from culinary roles to customer service representatives. In total, the store will employ nearly 450 people, most of whom will be new to the company and hired locally.

The Carlyle team will host a virtual hiring event on Thursday, January 20 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Interested applicants should submit an online application in advance of the event online through this link. A member of the Wegmans hiring team will contact applicants to schedule a time for a phone interview. All interviews for this event will be conducted virtually, via phone, with no video included. More information is available by calling the hiring office at (571) 473-5090.

“While our opening is still a few months away, we are excited to begin training and building our team so that they’re fully prepared to deliver incredible customer service from day one,” said Carlyle Store Manager Mike Anthony. “Wegmans has a long-standing reputation as an exceptional employer, with tremendous opportunity for career growth and development.”

Employment at Wegmans offers competitive pay and benefits, flexible scheduling, and a workplace known for a caring, family atmosphere. The Wegmans Employee Scholarship Program is a unique point of pride for the family company. Since the program began in 1984, more than 42,500 Wegmans employees have been awarded scholarships totaling over $130 million.

Interested applicants for either store can apply online at jobs.wegmans.com. Applications are not accepted at the store construction sites and interviews are conducted at off-site hiring offices.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
