The rent is $1250 per month plus utilities, Move-in January 15-February 1st. The house is located on a quiet street near the Shaw/Howard University Metro, with easy access to Giant, CVS. Also plenty of restaurants and bars, including Dacha Beer Garden, Bkk Cookshop, and Big Bear Café.
House tours by appointment this week 7-9pm.
The common areas are furnished, and the kitchen has all the basics with some room for dishes, cups etc., and for a small appliance or two. The room is furnished as pictured with a bed, and frame for free or I can remove it before you move in. There is space out back that is fenced in that could store a bicycle, and on-street parking is generally easy.
Your perspective roommate (Chris, 30) is a mid-career professional, he does housing policy for the government. I have lived in DC for seven years. And used to spend most of my time checking out restaurants, cocktail bars, and live music. Less of that lately and a bit more video games. I am vaccinated and expect my roommate to be too. For the visit we can wear masks for the tour and then discuss details on the back deck outside, or do it virtually.”
