“we ask that you join us as we continue to build testing kits for our neighbors”

Ed. Note: Regarding these tests folks have been wondering about the timing of getting the results, Florence wrote us this morning: “The timing improved, first time we did one last week took 5 days to get results and the second time this week less than 3. We did them late Monday night right before the box closed and got them just now!”

From the Mayor’s Office:

“When the Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism and Partnerships (Serve DC) put out the call for volunteers, YOU responded and we have been most inspired by your acts of kindness.

Together, with our #DCValues lighting our path, and the generosity of your time, we assembled over 20,000 self-test kits for DC residents, across all 8 Wards.

But there is still more to do.

And so — it is in this spirit of service that we ask that you join us as we continue to build testing kits for our neighbors. We have expanded our efforts to include the upcoming Thursday, Sunday, and Monday, enabling our residents to safely enjoy this holiday season.
