Call Your Mother taking over the café space at sister restaurant Mercy Me, “Mercy Me will continue to be open for dinner and with their signature bar program”

1143 New Hampshire Ave, NW

From a press release:

“Today, Call Your Mother, the beloved Jew-ish deli, announces that it will assume the café space at sister restaurant Mercy Me, the “sorta South American” restaurant and bar by husband and wife duo Andrew Dana and Chef Daniela Moreira. This marks Call Your Mother’s first location in the West End neighborhood and sixth in the DC area. Located within the Yours Truly DC Hotel at 1143 New Hampshire Ave NW, the new Call Your Mother location, which will open by the end of January, will feature the homemade, signature bagels, creative sandwiches and nostalgic pastries that have earned the bagel shop and deli national acclaim.

“We are super pumped to expand our partnership with Mercy Me and Yours Truly by bringing CYM to West End,” said Andrew Dana, the brand’s co-owner and founder. “This has long been one of my favorite parts of town, because it is where so much intersects: colleges, offices, residential, and even tourists. It is a neighborhood with something for everybody, and we look forward to becoming a staple for breakfast, coffee, or lunch, complementing Mercy Me’s amazing bar menu and evening fare.”

Call Your Mother has expanded significantly since opening in 2018, adding locations in Capitol Hill, Bethesda and Georgetown in 2020, and North Bethesda in November 2021. As with all locations, guests at the new West End outpost will indulge in creative takes on traditional deli staples like the Sun City, an elevated bacon, egg and cheese, alongside insta-worthy creations like za’atar dusted bagels and The Horizon everything bagel sandwich, filled with fritos, avocado, red onions and jalapeños. In addition to bagels, the deli also offers lunch sandwiches including the Latin Pastrami with pastrami, herb mayo, veggie slaw and jalapeños on rye, as well as a selection of pastry items like Chocolate Babka Muffins and yeasted doughnuts.

The deli will be open from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. Online orders are encouraged on weekends and at busy times, and can be placed here. Mercy Me will continue to be open for dinner and with their signature bar program.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
