Nando’s is Giving Away Free Chicken This Sunday to Honor Mandela Day

This Sunday, Nando’s PERi-PERi will honor its South African roots by celebrating Mandela Day.

To commemorate Mandela’s 67-year-long fight for social justice, Nando’s will be devoting 67 minutes this Sunday — from noon to 1:07 p.m. — to give away free meals to customers who bring in a nonperishable food item.

In exchange, they will receive a free flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken leg or breast, prepared at the spice level of their choosing.

Give a meal, get a meal!

All donations will go to United Way of the National Capital Area.

We’ve got six Nando’s locations in D.C. and plenty more in Maryland and Virginia. Find the location closest to you, and for all the event details, stop by the Nando’s website.
