Your Afternoon Animal Fix – AdoPtville

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share for the regular fix please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. AdoPtville is run by a volunteer who compiles these pets weekly from local shelters.

Meet Ebony! She is a sweet, cuddly girl who always wants to be nearby – even trying her best to be a lap dog when you’re working! Although she gets a bit flustered around loud streets and some other dogs, as she has gotten used to the new situations her loving personality shines through! Ebony’s new home would be perfect if it had a small quiet space outside for her to call her own, where she could lie down to soak up the sun and escape the hustle and bustle! She enjoys quiet walks and would probably even be up for a bit of a run! She loves her plush toy lamb and a good chew toy (but don’t worry – she knows which ones are hers and which ones are your shoes!). She hasn’t had a chance to meet children, so would need some time to warm-up in a family situation and may be most comfortable as the only animal in the house. For more info, or to virtually meet Ebony, contact [email protected].

If you are looking
for a little friend to curl up and watch a movie or take a walk around your neighborhood – Ebony is the perfect fit!

Hello, I’m Orangey! I came to HRA after spending some time outdoors as a community cat, but now I’m ready to give all that up and enjoy the comforts of a roof over my head and the joy of having a cozy place to sleep every night. I’m still learning about all the benefits of indoor life, but so far I can share a couple of preferences. I will seek affection, but I only want to be petted for a little while – when I’m done I’ll let you know. Also, please stick to only petting my forehead, cheeks, or chin. In return you’ll get a friendly head bunt, some soft purring, and a very happy kitty. My favorite activities are exploring my home and watching the “cat TV” (a.k.a looking out of any window or glass door). I can fall asleep almost anywhere: the carpet, chair, cat bed, sofa, anywhere…just try me! I’m a slightly older guy, so I won’t demand much from you and, because with age comes wisdom, I’ll truly appreciate everything that you’re willing to do for me! For more info, or to virtually meet me, contact [email protected].

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
