From a press release:

Stingray Kitchen is the ghost Kitchen concept that will roll out of the Declaration Shaw space from January 20 until March 31, 2021. Stingray Kitchen will feature three months culinary segments featuring a specific regional cuisine that we will call “Tours” The first tour is of Asian influence. The next tour will be announced in early March.

So what’s with the name Stingray?
A Stingray has always reminded me of an Ocean ghost. Their movement is ghost-like as they glide at the bottom of the sea bed (And with everything that has happened in our country, I am tired of presidents right now!).

What are you serving?
Our Culinary Director Chef Takeshi Nishikawa, who has been with PRG for over 4 years, developed an amazing menu of Asian influenced creations featuring classic Asian cooking styles with some contemporary flair. Hot and Sour Matzo Ball Soup comes right to the forefront. It’s a take on a long-standing Jewish dish with an Asian classic.

One of my favorites is our Stir Fried Lo Mein which is my wife’s recipe that was handed down from her mother who is a native of Hong Kong. It’s all about how you shave the beef, and it’s really good!

As Declaration, we were a pizza-centric restaurant, so we couldn’t help but create a couple of Asian-influenced pies. Our Cantonese bbq Pizza features Char sui pork, bok choy, scallion and red chili flake while our Confit Duck & Mushroom Pizza is laden with plenty of duck confit, kale, hoison sauce, shaved radish and crispy wonton.

It would be sin to miss our one and only dessert, another Hong Kong Favorite: Chocolate Bubble Waffle with banana, kit-kat, vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. A total street food favorite!

Cocktails, Cocktails, Cocktails… Three handcrafted cocktails will be available to go including an Asian Pear Mule, Traditional Mai Tai and our staple Old Fashioned. These will be available packed in our safety sealed packaging for easy travel.

Where: 804 V Street NW

Stingray will be open Thursday through Saturday 5pm until 9pm and Sunday 5pm until 8:30pm
