Thanks to Emily for passing on from Bon Matcha:

“After careful thought and consideration, we regret to say that Bôn Matcha will open its I St windows for the last time on December 13, 2020. For the past three years it has been our great joy and privilege to celebrate our heritage as Asian Americans with all of you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your routines for self-care, your weekend treats, and your midday breaks. Though we close our windows for now, we confess that we don’t believe this is goodbye, but rather, until next time. We have been blessed to be a part of your stories, and we promise that we have many more we’d like to tell. We eagerly look forward to the new hope and opportunity that tomorrow brings and hope to see you soon.”

The reason is threefold.

First, using safe cleaning products ensures toxic chemicals won’t leak into waterways or harm wildlife if disposed of improperly.
