Missed Connection – 14th and N St, NW Tuesday 3:30pm

“Dear PoPville,

I was walking my dog on 14th and N This afternoon (Tuesday, 10/20 ~3:30) when a guy stopped me to ask if he could take me out for drinks sometime.

I’m not sure if the pandemic has ruined my social skills, or if I have developed such a strong instinct to avoid random men on the street who call me cute..but I just awkwardly laughed and said no thank you. We went on our separate ways.

A few seconds later I realized that:

1. He was pretty cute and around my age
2. He didn’t actually seem like the typical creepy guy who hits on you on the street – he was clean and most likely sober
and
3. He was just a bit too far away for me to catch up to him and reverse my response.

If you’re the guy in the yellow shirt and jeans, I’m the girl in the cream sweater with the black and white dog…and I’d like to change my answer.”

Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about passed missed connections, some have been made and when possibly I’ll try to update when/if more are made.

That means Well-Paid Maids is now offering weekend cleanings! The goal is to make your life as easy as possible. If your weekday schedule is too hectic or you work from home, this is for you!

Appointments are available to book now with services starting Saturday, March 23. We suspect these time slots will be popular, so don’t wait to schedule!
