202Creates Month Goes Virtual

Join D.C.’s creative community for its 5th year of Mayor Muriel Bowser Presents 202Creates Monthvirtually!

This is a celebration of D.C. ‘s innovators, makers & doers, artists, and entrepreneurs throughout all 8 wards of the city. The 202Creates program connects District residents with government resources, educational opportunities and spaces to support their projects. This results in the creation of business development tools, original media content and performances, as well as community-building events, activities and roundtables.

Mayor Muriel Bowser Presents 202Creates invites D.C. creatives and innovators to join their annual 202Creates Month-long virtual celebration of the city’s creative community which includes a chat today, September 10 at 2 p.m. with Emmy Award-winning Executive Producer and Director of the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment (OCTFME), Angie M. Gates.

Also joining the conversation is TV One and CLEOtv’s own General Manager, Michelle Rice. Michelle oversees and leads all business, operational and creative aspects of the network. These two pioneers will discuss the changing dynamic of film and production amid the COVID-19 pandemic and explore new and exciting strategies to help District creatives launch and complete new projects.

This year’s 202Creates programming is made possible in partnership with the DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment; The DC Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development; and the DC Executive Office of the Mayor.
