Thanks to Jeffrey for passing on from Red, White and Basil:
“As you know, covid-19 has taken a toll on DC’s restaurant landscape. We appreciate your loyalty to Red, White and Basil, and want to thank you for your support. It’s wonderful to see so many familiar faces enjoying our food every day.
Unfortunately, we find it necessary to pause our operation for the next 90 days, so we can reassess where things stand.
The health and safety of our employees and our customers is most important, and while we have not experienced any issues we want to ensure that we are able to continue to provide outstanding food, drinks and service to the community.
Thank you for sticking with us during a very strange 2020. Please visit our sister restaurant, Duplex Diner, just around the corner from RWB at 2004 18th St. NW.
We hope to see you soon.
