2019 11th Street, NW just north of U Street

The Greek Spot posted to Facebook Monday:

“Today one of our team members explained to a customer that they must wear a face mask to enter the restaurant. It is the law. Our team member was assaulted and threatened while the customer destructed property and threw everything on the counter as well as the plexiglass screen at her. This is not what we come to work for, or what anyone should have to endure while working to provide for themselves and their families. This is painful and disgusting to say the least. We are sorry our team member was spoken to and exposed to this type of treatment and behavior.

The mask policy is the law, it is a law we must follow and will continue to follow in order to protect our staff, our loyal customers, and our community.

If you don’t feel you must follow this, please don’t eat at our restaurant. Do not provoke our staff, and or ever feel that you are above the law when entering our business. You are not welcome at The Greek Spot DC.
We thank our loyal law and regulation abiding customers for your continued support and look forward to serving you for years to come.

Thank You
The Greek Spot Family”

City Paper reported that the incident occurred around 2:30pm yesterday and that “The Greek Spot is pulling security camera footage today, which Dionisopoulos says he’ll turnover to the police in hopes that they’ll investigate what happened.”

Paddlestar Galactica helps keep writing education 100% free and accessible for all of our students! It’s also extremely fun.

This year’s games will be Saturday, April 27th, 1 PM to 4 PM at SPIN DC. It’ll be a chaotic afternoon of ping-pong, costumes, terrible Battlestar Galactica puns, and good cheer. We’d love to have you join us!
