Your Afternoon Animal Fix – AdoPtville

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share for the regular fix please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. AdoPtville is run by two volunteers who compile these pets weekly from local shelters.

Hi! This happy and curious guy is Ben! In case you couldn’t tell from his photo, Ben is young – just about a year old, and is a super-sweet boy looking for the right family to call his own. Ben is a higher-energy dog, and at 73 lbs., really needs a home where he will receive regular exercise and stimulation, as well as consistent training. Ben recently attended Doggy Boot Camp and did very well! He’s friendly and loving, and does well with structure and clear direction. Ben loves kids, and enjoys snuggling with his foster family at the end of a long day of exploring. Ben will make an active home a wonderful companion – is he the pup for you? Find out more about adopting Ben here.

Say hello to Orange Julius! This handsome fellow with the sweet and silly name has recently relocated to the DC area from a shelter in West Virginia. Orange Julius is about 1 year old, and is a real snuggly guy – he loves to be held and carried around (can anyone say lap cat?)! Because he’s so attached to his people, Orange Julius needs to be the only cat in the home. If you’re interested in adopting (or fostering) this gorgeous guy, please reach out to our friends at Four Paws Rescue Team at [email protected]

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
