New Pop-up Experience Brings Alaska’s Wilderness to DC

From Friday, November 8 through Monday, November 11, experience Alaska’s wilderness without ever leaving D.C.

Through an immersive 4D experience, the Arctic Refuge Experience. Step in. Step up. takes you on a journey through a year in the Arctic Refuge. With over 66 million pixels of projected video, 20 channels of sound, custom scents, atmospheric elements and tactile sensations, prepare to be awed by America’s last great wilderness and get up close and personal with herds of caribou, arctic foxes, migratory birds and polar bears.

This limited-run Experience will also introduce you to new threats to this majestic region. After decades of protection, the Arctic Refuge — one of the few undeveloped places on Earth and a sacred place for the Gwich’in people — is about to be opened to oil drilling. After enveloping yourself in the magic of the Arctic Refuge, you’ll be able to join a movement to fight back against Big Oil and defend this incredible land.

100% of net proceeds from this event will go to the Gwich’in Steering Committee and Gwich’in Youth Council.

The reason is threefold.

First, using safe cleaning products ensures toxic chemicals won’t leak into waterways or harm wildlife if disposed of improperly.
