Politics and Prose Bookstore welcomes you to an in-store event with
Michelle Obama
to celebrate the one-year anniversary of
BECOMING

Monday, November 18 at 6 p.m.

A limited number of wristbands for event access will be available on a first-come, first-served basis with an in-store purchase of the Becoming hardcover from our store at 5015 Connecticut Avenue, NW, beginning on Saturday, November 16 at 9 a.m.
Your wristband guarantees ONE (1) signed hardcover copy of Becoming. Each customer can purchase no more than ONE (1) wristband. You may purchase ONE (1) additional signed copy of the book while reserving your wristband. Customers will receive their signed book(s) at the end of the signing line, not at the time of purchase. Books will not be available for pickup before then.
Everyone must have their printed receipt AND wristband as proof of purchase on November 18. Lost wristbands cannot be replaced and there are no exceptions to this rule.
One wristband is required for each attendee ages 15 and older; no family or group access with one wristband. Children may accompany one adult with a wristband.
Copies of the Becoming Journal will be available for purchase as a special release ahead of publication day, but will not be eligible for the signing. The journal will be available for pickup with the hardcover of Becoming after meeting Mrs. Obama.
Event attendees can enter the line beginning at 3 p.m. on November 18 to access the signing line.
There will be no opportunity for photographs of any kind during the signing. There will be no opportunity for personalization or to have any additional items signed. Mrs. Obama will only be signing copies of Becoming at this event.
Event attendees should be prepared for airport-style security to enter the signing. Coats, purses, bags, backpacks, briefcases, will not be permitted in the signing line–customers are STRONGLY encouraged to limit personal belongings including cell phones and cameras. We will have a coat and bag check. Other than necessary medical devices, customers entering the signing area will not be allowed to have any items in their hands when they’re meeting the author.
Politics and Prose will close at 2 p.m. on November 18 for this event.”

St. Mary Armenian Church will hold its 75th Annual Armenian Fall Food Festival October 6-7 from 11am – 8pm at St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church (4135 Fessenden St. NW). Traditional Armenian Food will be available for both Carry-out and Dine-in including Lamb and Chicken Kabobs, Cheese Boreg, Baklava and a wide variety of other delicious dishes.
