I walked out my front door at 815 this morning and found this guy standing in my yard. It’s a 7 point buck!!!
Once he wandered down to my neighbor’s yard, I found her hiding in the bushes next door to us:
She’s not moving at all and he’s being very protective. We are thinking she may be pregnant and he’s guarding her. We’ve seen the deer visiting our yard at 4am on the security camera to eat the plants. But it is very rare to see them stick around in the middle of rush hour on our busy block.
If people are driving around Burleith today, please tell them to drive slow! We may have a newborn deer wandering around later today. DC animal control will come out for a wellness check.”
