“Wawa Inc. is thrilled to announce another new store under contract as part of the company’s expansion into the Washington, D.C., market will be located at One Thomas Circle, NW. The site is now under contract with LaSalle Investment Management.

“We are excited to announce another location for a new D.C. Wawa as we continue to expand into the Capital region and bring our unique food and beverage offer, store design and experience to more members of the community,” said Adam Schall, Sr. Director of Store Operations. “This site is another optimal location for us to bring our unique offer to the D.C. area, and we couldn’t be more excited to serve this community.”

Wawa’s Thomas Circle Washington, D.C., store will be the latest in Wawa’s offering with an upscale urban feel, including customized architectural elements. Highlights of the store will include Wawa’s signature foods and specialty beverages along with Wawa’s newest offers, including custom salads and interior seating for customers. Wawa hopes to begin construction on the new store by the end of August.

Wawa’s Continued Expansion

The fifth D.C. Wawa is set to open in Adams Morgan at 2424 18th St. NW in late September and will feature the first night-time grand opening ceremony in the Company’s history.”
