Today’s Rental is a “Room available in 3 bedroom house near H St NE”

This rental is located at Morse St NE at Montello Ave NE. The Craigslist ad says:

“$925 / 1br – Room available in 3 bedroom house near H St NE

Hi! My sister and I are looking for a new roommate for our three-bedroom house in Trinidad.

The house is a 5 minute walk to H Street and is around the corner from the D4 and D8 bus lines. The NoMa metro is about 15 to 20 minutes walking distance. There is also plenty of unzoned street parking right outside the front door of the house.

The common areas of the house and the outside areas (patio and front porch) are fully furnished. The house has 1.5 bathrooms. The kitchen has been redone and is really great to cook in (includes dishwasher and microwave). There is also a combined washer and dryer in the unit.

A little bit about us:
– We’re two sisters aged 28 and 30.
– We’ve both lived in the home for over a year, but have lived in DC for a lot longer (5 and 10 years).
– We have full time jobs in international development.
– We keep the house pretty clean and are looking for someone who will maintain and respect the space.
– We both enjoy staying active and like to run (well, one of us), bike, hike and workout.
– We’ll go out for the occasional happy hour and sometimes partake in weekend festivities, but are more likely to have friends over for dinner and board games.
– We respect each others’ space but also enjoy sharing a meal, watching a show together (binging old Buffy episodes right now) and hanging out in the common areas.
– We’re both fairly laid back and tidy and are hoping to find a similar housemate.
– One of us has a super great cat that runs the house (you can see him in some of the pictures).

About you:
You would move in sometime between now and June 1 and sign a 1-year lease. Rent is $925, not including utilities. Utilities usually run $50-$100 a month per person. You must complete an application for our landlords after interviewing with us. Security deposit of $1000 is due at signing.

If you’re interested, feel free to send a little bit of information about yourself and when you’d be interested to see the house.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
