Today’s Rental is a “beautiful two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath row house on a quiet, tree-lined street”

This rental is located at 2nd and Rhode Island Avenue, NW. The Craigslist ad says:

“$3200 / 2br – 1000ft2 – Beautiful row house in historic Bloomingdale

This beautiful two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath row house on a quiet, tree-lined street in the historic Bloomingdale district of Washington, DC is a wonderful base for exploring the city. The house is two blocks from Big Bear Cafe, half-a-block from Red Hen restaurant, and around the corner from Boundary Stone bar.

The first floor features an open floor plan with tall ceilings, recess lighting, an exposed brick wall, and a bay window. The kitchen, with sleek, white cabinets and espresso-brown granite countertops, takes up the back of the first floor. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need, such as a coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and icemaker. Appliances include a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer.

A counter with four bar stools divides the kitchen from the living room, which takes up the front part of the first floor. Under the stairs leading up to the second floor there is a recently completed half-bath with a mosaic glass floor.

The second floor has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Both bathrooms have bathtubs, contemporary vanities and light fixtures, and travertine stone tile floors. The master bedroom features a queen bed, a bay window with wooden shutters for privacy, and direct access to the master bathroom. The master bedroom has a TV (that is the only TV in the house). The house has wi-fi and Roku for your work and relaxation. The second bedroom, suitable for a child or young adult, has a twin bed and a desk.

The house is a short walk (0.5 miles) from Shaw metro station on the green and yellow line. Shaw is five stops away from Nationals Park and eight stops from DCA/Reagan National Airport. There is a Capital Bikeshare station half a block away, and bus stops for direct buses to Dupont Circle, Georgetown and Adams Morgan are just steps from the house. Street parking is available for free.

Within a block, there are restaurants and bars, a yoga studio (Yoga District), dry cleaners, corner shops, and a weekend farmers’ market (from May to November). The apartment is also within walking distance of the many shops and restaurants on U Street, less than a mile from downtown attractions such as Chinatown/Verizon Center and the Washington Convention Center, and less than two miles from the U.S. Capitol, the White House, and the National Mall.

The house is available on July 1 for long-term rental (fully furnished, minimum six-month lease). The $3200 monthly rent includes water, internet, and alarm (electricity is separate). Pets are not allowed due to allergies. Please email for more information.”

Now, our last show may or may not have mentioned Taylor Swift, and we may have gotten into some trouble from confused Swifties who thought they scored a $15 ticket to a Taylor Swift concert. So, to apologize and clear up any confusion, we’ve decided to dedicate another show to her. We promise she might or might not appear this time.
