Real Estate Fresh Finds: April 24

Real Estate Fresh Finds is a weekly selection of newly-listed properties in the District, brought to you by Real Living At Home.

Featured Property of the Week: 81 U Street NW #B

1 of 4 BRAND NEW units at the Bloomingdale Row condominium building with 3 bedrooms + a den and 3 full bathrooms.

The kitchen is loaded with KitchenAid appliances, gorgeous quartz countertops, backsplash and an island with a waterfall edge. Across both levels you’ll find hardwood flooring, large windows with lots of natural light and modern finishes from the railings to the rooftop deck.

Finally, on the rooftop deck you’ll get incredible views of Crispus Attucks Park, the Washington Monument and Capitol Hill, making the unit the perfect place to call home.

Other Notable Fresh Listings:

  • The Most Expensive Home of the Week is a $7.7M all brick detached Georgetown Colonial with 6 bedrooms, 4 levels and 7,200 square feet that features a media room, elevator and 6 fireplaces.
  • Petworth 3 BR estate sale says offers were due yesterday, but if you’re interested, get a bid in today and maybe it could be yours!
  • Barry Farms 2 BR/2 BA “condo boasts two levels of living, easy access to the Metro, and an open floor plan for any modern taste.”
  • The REO/Bank-Owned Property of the Week is an end-unit 3 BR Colonial with a new roof, but it will need plenty of work on the interior.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
