Your Afternoon Animal Fix – AdoPtville

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share for the regular fix please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. AdoPtville is run by two volunteers who compile these pets weekly from local shelters.

“Meet Kipper, a 1-year-old playful kitty with an adorable little black spot on his nose and an adorable big personality! Kipper was found outdoors as a teeny kitten with a leg injury, and King Street Cats took him in and got him in great shape. He has a little limp, but that doesn’t stop his love of life, and play, and silliness! And nothing stops Kipper from loving attention and affection. A “cow cat” in his pattern, Kipper is super handsome and knows it! The volunteers at KSC all love him, and he will make someone a wonderful companion – could it be you? You might even want to adopt him with another young KSC kitten, so they can play together! Check out more about gentle Kipper here.

Hola! This is Papi, an 11 year-old Chiweenie mix. Papi is mature, but still has plenty of energy for a walk around the neighborhood, and then of course a happy snuggle with his person / people. Papi is fearful of new people and is dog reactive, so he’ll need an experienced adopter, but once he settles in and feels more secure, Papi is very sweet! He’s got such an appealing personality and hopes he can find a loving home in time for the holidays. Papi weighs 11 pounds, and is house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. See more of him at his DC foster’s Instagram account: @happytailsdc. He’s available through Mid Atlantic Jack Rescue. Email [email protected] for more info or check out his Petfinder page here.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
