This rental is located at 1700 U Street, NW. The Craigslist ad says:

We have one very large apartment unit available for rent. The apartment contains 2 large rooms plus a table-space kitchen, one bathroom and a common hallway. It encompasses the entire second floor of the building and contains approximately 1,000 square feet of floor space and 16 windows.

In the past we’ve had two individuals that have rented this unit as a 2-bedroom apartment with no living room or common area. Other times tenants have made it into a very large one-bedroom unit with a generously proportioned salon or living room area.

1700 U Street NW is a commercial building with a retail liquor store on the street level. There is a private separate entrance from the street that leads upstairs. The entire second floor is one separate apartment unit that is now available. The entire third floor is one separate apartment that is now occupied.

We’ve temporarily reduced the asking rent to $2,250 plus electricity for the available 2nd floor apartment.”
