Let’s Find this Lady a Rental

Came across this unusual listing when I was looking for today’s rental. So let’s hook her up. She’s a teacher moving to town. The full craigslist ad says:

“$1800 / 1br – Excellent Tenant Available

I am an excellent tenant who takes care of my rented apartment as though it were my own. I have NEVER been late on my rent, not even once and I am very low maintenance (I handle all minor home glitches without bothering the landlord). I am a landlords dream!!!

I am writing this post because I want to find a clean, well maintained 1 BR apartment in DC, preferably in the areas of Adams Morgan, Dupont, Kalorama, or Woodley. I am open to other areas as well. I am relocating from NYC and did a little bit of apartment hunting this past week, but found nothing I really liked. So, I figured I would try to appeal to those landlords that have apartments that they really care about and are seeking the “right” tenant because they want their place cared for.

I am a teacher who will be starting my new position in a local charter school here in DC and I am looking for a quality place to call home. I can pay between 1700-2000/mo. depending on whether or not utilities are included. My biggest concern is that the place is clean and updated and that there are no roaches or rodents in the building/apt. I have lived in a NYC apartment for the past 5 years and never had them, I know its possible!

I am including pics of my current apartment so you can get an idea of how I keep my home and the quality/size of what I am looking for. Just as a little tip for landlords, my dad has been renting apartments for about 30years and typically takes slightly less than market value for the “right” tenant and has tenants that have been with him for anywhere from 5-15years and always take great care of the place.

I am excited to meet my new landlord and start life in my new home… our nations capital! Please reach out soon.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
