Graffiato Goes Dark in Chinatown

707 6th Street, NW

Ed. Note: Mike Isabella‘s Graffiato opened up to rave review back in June 2011.

Matt reports:

“I passed by Graffiato at around 5:30 pm today [Tuesday], and it was pitch black inside (doors locked, barstools up, no signs of life).

Normally at this time of night, Graffiato is welcoming the usual crowd of tourists and happy hour goers for drinks and, according to the Graffiato website, they are open from 5 to 9 pm on Tuesdays. There was also no sign on the door explaining the closure, but it certainly seems inauspicious. Anyone know what’s up?”
