“Doug the Scammer – hit another bar last night”

Most recent previous sighting on July 20th at Bakers Lounge

“Dear PoPville,

Doug the Scammer came into 18th & U Duplex Diner where I work. I totally fell for his sob story and gave him $20……his story is below.

He is now claiming to be a doctor & Director of Communications at Whitman Walker.

He said that his “assistant” was going to be having dinner at the restaurant & that he needed to find his keys because he was locked out of his Q street apartment. He said his phone and keys were in his coat (he only had on a white shirt and tie), which were in his assistant’s car, but because “they do work in churches and schools – they must turn their phones off.” He claimed that if he had money, he’d metro and cab to get to the church where he had a separate set of keys, then could get into his apartment. His tone is very quick and he makes you feel incredibly rushed where a decision needs to be made quickly. And I fell for it.

DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN ANY MONEY – he has not changed his look. Glasses, bald, white man.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
