Your Afternoon Animal Fix – AdoPtville

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share for the regular fix please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. AdoPtville is run by two volunteers who compile these pets weekly from local shelters.

“Psssstttt…hey, you PoPville peeps! It might not be a secret for long, but I’m pretty cute *and* available! My name is Kipling, and I’m a 13-year-old wise cat with a playful purr-sonality! My areas of expertise include chasing toys, corralling shadows, windowsill people-watching, eating, being a good litter box citizen (a litter-zen?) and helping my foster family as needed. I also like to snuggle, and can be counted upon to keep you company – when you chill, I chill, yo! I take some thyroid medication but am very good about that, and am otherwise a pretty happy and healthy older dude! Find out more about making me a part of your family here.

Need a little spice in your life this summer? Meet Pepper, an approximately 3-year-old Pit mix with a sweet personality! Pepper is currently living in doggy day care, but is looking for an experienced foster, and ideally, her furever home! She was rescued from a shelter in rural NC and brought to DC to find the good life. Pepper’s been working very hard on her training and is great on a leash – she also makes an excellent running companion to help keep you beach-ready! She would do best as the only dog in a home, but is good with older kids. She loves to chill out at the end of the day, but still has a bit too much excited energy for the littles. This patient and pretty lady has been waiting for her home since September – are you the one she’s been waiting for? Find out more about adopting Pepper here.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
