This is a two-bedroom/one bath English basement apartment located in the heart of Bloomingdale at 1st and U St NW.

The rent includes ALL utilities, including cable. The landlord requires a security deposit of one month’s rent, along with the first month’s rent.

There is a washer/dryer in unit, and the bathroom is shared. One of the bedrooms has a walk-in closet. Each bedroom is approximately 10′ by 11 1/2′. The apartment has a back exit that opens out to a quaint patio that further opens out to Crispus Attucks Park, a hidden treasure of Bloomingdale. It’s a great place to hang out, read, sunbathe, etc. Pets are welcome.

About the neighborhood:

The apartment is convenient with its access to numerous bus lines, such as the G8, G9, 80, G2 – it’s very easy to get downtown or to Georgetown Univ from the apt. There is also a Capital Bikeshare that is less than a block away. Shaw metro station (Green/Yellow) line is a short walk away! It’s either 12 minutes on foot, or you can take a bikeshare/bus straight to the station. The apartment is steps away from all the great restaurants and bars that Bloomingdale has to offer: Red Hen, Boundary Stone, El Camino, Showtime, Bacio Pizzeria. There are a coffee shop and liquor store right around the corner, as well as two different little bodegas/mini-marts.”

826DC is a local nonprofit that offers free writing programs, homework help, and publishing opportunities for DC students ages 6-18, in our Columbia Heights writing center and in learning spaces across the city.

Paddlestar Galactica helps keep writing education 100% free and accessible for all of our students! It’s also extremely fun.
