Whittle School & Studios, “designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano”, coming to that Crazy Looking Building in Van Ness

Van Ness and Connecticut Ave, NW

Where the first atomic clock was developed!!

From a press release:

“Whittle School & Studios, the world’s first global school, today announced their Washington D.C location, the first of two campuses. The other, located in Shenzhen, China, will be announced in March. The global PreK-12 school, headed by educational pioneer Chris Whittle, is slated to begin classes in the Fall of 2019.

Whittle School & Studios will be one school with campuses in more than 30 of the world’s leading cities. At capacity, they will boast a diverse student body of more than 90,000 full-time students and hundreds of thousands of part-time students, with a single faculty of over 10,000, tied together by a common curriculum that will be adapted to local laws and needs. The campuses will all work collaboratively through constant exchanges and online activities supported by a unique global headquarters, creating an organization linked with a new collective intelligence unlike any single-site institution in the world.

“While the world has become more connected and cross-cultural than ever before, the current best practices in education are not designed to accommodate this international climate,” said Chris Whittle, chairman and CEO of Whittle School & Studios. “If students are going to be successful, let alone appropriately adapted, it is crucial that they receive the knowledge and tools to become global citizens. To accommodate that, Whittle School & Studios has assembled top-tier faculty, innovative campuses, and a carefully curated curriculum that focuses not just on what is being taught, but how it is being learned.”

Whittle School & Studios is the first truly modern institution serving children from ages three to 18, and will exceed the standards of learning that have become expected. Run by the upper echelon of the international education world, the school aims to better the lives of those students who attend and, beyond these campuses, contribute to the cause of education on every continent.

“Through language education, technology, and faculty from across international education, our students will have an unprecedented ability to immerse themselves in other cultures,” Whittle continued. “Our aim is not just to educate our students, but impact the way we approach international education, and we are looking forward to getting started.”

The Washington, DC campus will be located at 3400 International Drive in Van Ness. With a capacity for approximately 2,500 students, offering both day and boarding options, will be designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano, marking his first project in the District. While the campus is under renovation, Whittle School & Studios will be opening a Parent Information Center at Mazza Gallery in Chevy Chase. To learn more, visit whittleschool.org.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
