Person of Interest Sought “suspect entered a vehicle that was left running unattended with a one year old child inside”

“The Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division seeks the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest in a Kidnapping offense that occurred on November 6, 2017, in the 1800 block of Monroe Street, Northeast.

At approximately 10:10 am, the suspect entered a vehicle that was left running unattended, at the listed location, with a one year old child inside. The suspect fled the scene with the vehicle.

A short time later, the vehicle was recovered in the 1500 Block of W Street, Northeast. The child was still inside of the vehicle. The suspect fled the scene. The child was not injured.

The person of interest was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in this video.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information can be submitted through the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.”
