“The Capital Candy Jar will be celebrating the Grand Opening of their new store and production space on Friday 09/22 through Sunday 09/24. The new store is located in the Hill East neighborhood at 201 15th Street NE, Washington DC 20002. It is on the corner of 15th and Constitution Avenue NE.

The Capital Candy Jar is Washington DC’s Hometown candy company. They have been in business for 3 ½ years and sell their hand made confections in many stores, gift shops and hotels throughout the DC metro area. This will be their first stand alone store. In addition to their own hand made confections, the new store will feature confections from other gourmet candy makers including fudge, salt water taffy, chocolate truffles, pastries and more.

Their grand opening hours are Friday 8am to 6pm; Saturday and Sunday 9am to 6pm. They will be giving away free hot and cold brew coffee all day as well as tons of free candy samples. The first 50 customers each day will receive a mini box of gourmet chocolate truffles as a gift with purchase. (limit one per customer per day)

The Capital Candy Jar has become famous at various food festivals throughout the DC metro area for their giant s’mores, which they will also offer at the new store. Customers are given the choice of 6 flavors of giant hand made marshmallows and 4 flavors of chocolate.”
