There is nothing perfectly situated about this place, though it looks nice and the price is sadly reasonable these days.

I wonder what awards this renovation has won? And who gives out awards for renovations?

    • Soooooooooooooooo Happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AIA DC gives out awards for interiors, homes, architecture in general. You have to submit your project, etc – but it happens. Not sure that this would qualify for that type of award. The construction world also gives out awards – but again, this project? Not sure what’s award winning, but it looks pretty good for a rental. Needs more pictures though.

I too am very curious about the awards!

LOL award winning. His mother gave him the award.

“on a beautiful quiet street in the middle downtown” – Do you know where downtown Washington D.C. is?

  • JS

Was the award a participation trophy?

  • Florista

For award-winning, this is pretty unremarkable.

  • BigD

I don’t think construction permits count as awards.

DCRA: Congratulations on lifting your stop work order! Here’s your certificate!

  • MadMax

Did they just copy someone else’s listing or what?

  • Moe

    Not Edgewood/Brookland! Stronghold!

If you’re trying to rent or sell a “renovated ” house you need to paint exterior brick to get top dollar. Whether you like the look of painted brick or not it does not make a difference.

The listing has only three photos — one of the exterior, one of the kitchen, and one of the bathroom.
    This surprises me.
