    Be sure to ask about those amenities fees and other unusual fees required of those who live there.

    Also, be sure you know how onerous it will be to break your lease if you move – apparently it is hard, which is why these folks are granting generous terms.

    This seems absurdly high for the area, you could do so much better in so many other better locations really….I don’t get why someone would want to live in such a large building like that for that price

    Why do architects do stuff like this–the huge opening along the top of the wall in the bedroom? I get that it’s probably legally required to have 2 ways to exit a legal bedroom, but gah! The whole point of having a bedroom, especially at this price which is really something only couples can afford, is to have a separate, distinct space where maybe you can’t hear your partner. Also with that opening on the side of the bedroom you have bright light coming in at dawn every day and no blinds/simple curtain solution. On the other hand, I bet cats love it.

    I used to live in an apartment with a sliding barn style bedroom door and it sucked. It does nothing for separating sounds from the rest of the unit, and pets can open it easily…and there’s no way to lock them.

      Not sure the opening at the top of the bedroom would even count as an egress — is it even low enough for a short adult to reach and hoist him/herself over??

      This is really a _junior_ one-bedroom, not a proper one-bedroom. If it were me, I’d rather have the bedroom completely shut off so I could sleep in hotel-style absolute darkness, OR have French doors facing toward the windows. This seems like the worst of multiple worlds — enough light to be a pain, but not enough to make the room feel like it’s getting much light.
