“Dear PoPville,

Do you know anything re: Spices of Bukhara restaurant (opened a year ago), whether they are permanently closed? We have been unable to order in the past few weeks and now i see on goggle that’s what it says. No news on their FB page or website.”

They’ve just changed their name to City Kabob and Curry House:

Check out their menus here.

I work right in the area, and I believe it’s actually completely new owners. The old owners were very friendly and the food quite good, but I am excited about the new ownership. Lunch buffet is good in both taste and value, and they seem to have a better plan on how to run things (already indoor seating, which the old place never had). Very much recommend!

If anyone has had Ravi Kabob on Glebe Road – how does this place compare to it? I’m looking for the level of heat that is painful to eat and makes the back of my neck all sweaty.

We ordered it last week and it was excellent. However, it came with a small container of rice. Not nearly enough to enjoy an entire entree with it.

Agree! Rice container too small and yogurt sauce container too big.
